Have you looked out the window this morning? Did you see that large yellow/orange thing in the sky? What is that? Oh… wait… is that that thing they refer to as the sun? Wow! Ha! Just kidding. So I thought it might be fun to go see what water levels were at Beaver Lake this morning… 1,129.07 feet. Now on Memorial Day (Monday the 25th) was 1,129.22 feet so the water levels haven’t gone down much. Okay so we’ve covered the sun is shining, the water levels at Beaver Lake, now since it’s Wednesday we need to meet our next Extreme Diver, Shirley Mann.
How did you get started diving?
It’s Eds fault. He was diving about 2 years before me and while on a family vacation in Florida he went shark tooth diving and he found 5 teeth. I wanted to find my own shark teeth and not have to tell everyone about his.
How long have you been diving?
I’ve been diving about 14 years.
How many dives do you make in a typical year?
We make 30 plus dives a year. Depending on how many trips Deb gets us on and how many are for 2 weeks.
What other hobbies do you have?
Other hobbies are playing with grandkids. Traveling with Ed. Family in general. Reading when I have time LOL
Where is your favorite place to dive?
Coz, Bonaire, live aboard dive boats, guess that’s any where tropical.
What is your most comical dive experience?
Can’t talk about it. It would embarrass Ed. Enough said.
What is your occupation?
I’m a hair stylist. I own my own shop in Adair, Ok. Been in business 30 years.
