Extreme Diver Interview – Chris Sloan

On any given day if you come into the shop here you never know what you’ll find going on. Obviously we’re working, but beyond that, sometimes there’s lots of laughter and great conversations! If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, I absolutely LOVE doing these interviews in person and today’s interviewee is a prime example of that. I had plans in April to go visit Chris Sloan at the church for his interview but it turns out he had to come in to ask a question or drop something off and I caught him just before he left. We wound up chatting a bit after the interview and I sure hope I didn’t make him late for his appointments that day, if I did, Sorry Chris!! but I enjoyed our chat!! So now that I’ve told you today’s interviewee is Chris Sloan, let’s get down to the interview.

I always wanted to be a scuba diver. I always thought it was cool, James Bond was a scuba diver. A friend of mine said I know of a place up here that has dive classes and the price was right.

How long have you been diving?

How many dives do you make in a typical year?

That depends… oh probably 30… depends on what trip and how many dives.

What other hobbies do you have?

Kayaking, gardening, Newton County Rescue & Recovery and Judo with Christ’s Community. Oh and fishing. Wow I have lots of hobbies.
