Extreme Diver Interviews – Danielle La Due

Let’s not start the post off by talking about rain today, okay? Oh wait, I just mentioned it, dang! haha! So as you know, today is Wednesday (unless you aren’t reading this on Wednesday, then it’s whatever day it is you’re reading this) and that means it’s another diver interview. Today is Danielle or Dani, I’m not real sure which to call her most days, La Due. When I interviewed her we all decided that I needed to mention that She even put her phone down for me. If you know Danielle, that’s a feat! Moving on, let me introduce to you Danielle La Due.

How did you get started diving?

My uncle Gary got certified and took me underwater with him once and I’ve been hooked since.

How long have you been diving?

11 years

How many dives do you make in a typical year?

(I really liked the big grin.) Let’s bump it up to 5, that’s a good number, right?

What other hobbies do you have?

Music, coffee [that’s a hobby!], and nail wraps.

Where is your favorite place to dive?

Beaver Lake

What is your most comical dive experience?

Whenever we went to Hawaii and did a night dive and I got swept halfway out to Japan at the Electric Beach. Later we found out you aren’t supposed to dive there at night because that’s where the tiger sharks go to feed at night. Our dive instructor didn’t tell us that and make note that dive instructor wasn’t Grady.

What is your occupation?

Music teacher

Words of wisdom/tips or tricks for fellow divers?

Listen to your dive instructors/masters, they’re smart.
