Get the Look – Nicole Willoughby

Wow, it seems like it has been forever and a day since we’ve done a Get the Look post and yet it feels like we did last months just yesterday. Goodness, how can time move so fast and yet feel like it’s sitting still? I guess that is the million-dollar question and if I can answer that I’ll be rich? Here’s my answer… Time’s Fun when you’re having Flies. Haha… no that’s the Kermit the Frog version. How about Time flies when you’re having fun. Does that sound better?

“Kermit the Frog – Eats Flies, Married to a Pig, Hollywood Star. Live your Dreams!”

Okay, so we’ve probably spent enough time on Kermit the Frog, let’s move on. Today is the last Monday of the month. I’m still not sure how we got here so quickly, but it means that it is time for the Get the Look post. Today’s feature happens to be… well… um… Me. That’s right, I’m here to show you what the Blogger dives in and to prove that she practices what she preaches. Just follow along!

Get Nicole, the Blogger’s, Look

The whole Practice What I Preach thing… Okay, so I’ll tell you how many of each I tried before I settled in with my current set of dive gear.

Masks: I’ve tried 3. One of the three is my Flux Mask which is my main mask. I love this mask. My back up is a Solara.

Regulator combos: I’ve tried 3 different sets. I currently dive with the MK25/S600 regulator combo with a Yellow front cover.

I also dive with MiFlex Hoses that are yellow and black (2 separate hoses).

BC: I have tried 5. My favorite by far is my Hydros BC with Purple Pockets. Purple is my favorite color and I know the pictures above aren’t purple pockets. I was actually diving with Tori’s BC in those pictures.

Wet Suits: I own 3 wetsuits. I think I’ve really only ever dove these three wet suits. I have a SCUBAPRO Everflex 3/2mil Wetsuit, a SCUBAPRO Pyroflex Steamer (the one I forgot I owned and then dove in Mark’s while in Cozumel…), and finally a 5mil Waterproof.

Gloves: I’ve tried 2 or 3. These are my favorite, 1.5 Mil Seamless Gloves. My fingers don’t feel constricted yet they give that bit of extra warmth.

Boots: I currently own 2 sets of boots, Heavy Duty 6.5 Mil Tall boots and Heavy Duty 3 Mil short boots. Other than these two I’ve dove a pair when I first was certified that were on closeout. I have to say between those 2 listed I own, my favorites are the Heavy Duty 6.5 Mil Tall Boots by far.

Dive Computer: I currently dive with the Galileo Luna. I’ve tried 3 total, and I also have my 4th on order… (hint: The G2)

Fins: I’ve tried 3 pairs and chose these as my faves, Black Twin Jet Fins. You’ll know mine because they have red and green zip ties on them to distinguish them. Hey, I love Christmas and Doug beat me to the Red and Yellow… Go Chiefs!

Additional Pieces:

We all have additional pieces, so here are mine.

Camera: I’ve tried 4 different underwater cameras. My favorite by far is the SeaLife DC2000 with SeaDragon Strobe.

Flashlights: Nova 700. I have another one, but I can’t remember what it is. Remember, you’re always supposed to have a backup. It is yellow, or blue. I’m thinking yellow.

Snorkel: Spectra Dry.

Bags: Then I have 3 bags to keep my gear contained. No, I don’t have that much gear, they all serve different purposes. I have the SCUBAPRO Caravan Bag for Dive Trips. I have an XS Scuba Mesh duffle style bag that has dive flags on each end. Finally, I have a backpack style mesh bag that is red.

Last but not least, I have a dry bag. It is a White K3 Drybag.
