If you’ll pardon my lateness on posting last nights minutes… Yesterday was… Fun! Should I mention that I’ve read so many books that all the characters are trying to mix together and I can’t quite remember which one goes with what book. Okay that is a bit of an exaggeration, but pretty darn close to the truth. Anyway you didn’t come here to hear my excuses, you came for the meeting minutes, so definitely mark your calendars for the following dates and excuse my tardiness. I’ll try to do better next month . (oh yeah, and I don’t have a picture to accompany this either… bummer)
MEETING NOTES SEPTEMBER 3, 2015
September 12 & 13 – Mermet Spring weekend trip, come join the fun. Cost for entry to dive is $20 per day, non-diver is $5, airfills $7 and NITROX is $15. Hotel Accommodation at Super 8, Metropolis, IL is $70 per night. Please call Deb at 417-659-9009 to let me know if you are going. You will need to make your own hotel reservations, Super 8 618-524-8200.
September15 – Nitrox Class, cost is $75 (classroom only)
September 15 & 16 – Open Water Check out dives at Beaver Lake, AR (Middle of the week)
September 26 & 27 – Open Water Check out dives at Beaver Lake, AR
September 29 – CPROX Class, Cost is $50 (classroom only)
October 1 – Extreme Dive Club Meeting (Back at the store, what kind of food??)
October 17 & 18 – Last Open Water Check out dives at Beaver Lake, AR
October 18 – Annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving
October 24 – 3rd Annual Christmas for Kids Chili Cook off, love all the help we can get. Again, we will have a toy box set up at Extreme Sports for toys to be donated.
November 5 – Extreme Dive Club Meeting
December 3 – Extreme Dive Club Christmas Party
January 1st – Kick off New Year with diving at Beaver Lake
Feb 13 – 20 or Feb 20 – 27, 2016 – Group trip to Cozumel, includes 7 nights,
All-inclusive resort Hotel Cozumel, round trip airfare from Joplin to Cozumel, airport transfer and taxes, plus a welcome to Cozumel practice shore dive.
Cost is $1,475 per person (based on double occupancy).
Diving is $65 per 2-tank dive and tank rental for shore dives is $7. Reserve your space with a $150 per person non-refundable deposit, balance is due December 28, 2015.

Looking to book trip to Bonaire next summer and currently working on it.
