I officially believe Missouri weather is crazy and I’m ready for a trip somewhere. There was a 0% chance of rain today and while I was driving through Carthage headed over here to the shop it was pouring. But once we were outside of Carthage we were back to dry pavement. I guess because it is Wednesday, the weather wanted me to be able to talk about the rain… that’s all I can figure :). Speaking of rain, I guess that means I need to check Beaver Lake levels right? Because why not! As of right now the lake is at 1,128.8 feet. So it’s down a little from Memorial weekend. I wonder where that table is in comparison… I know I keep referring back to that table but I can’t help it, even though it’s been underwater before, I’ve never seen it there. But talking about Memorial weekend allows us to talk about snicker’s breaks which allows us to talk about our diver today because she was sent to get the snickers… so meet Carlene La Due! She is the wife to the one and only Dan La Due who seems to be involved in a lot of the stories as well as Mr. Grady Weston. Maybe we should keep an eye on these two… but anyway back to Carlene’s interview. Oh and p.s. tomorrow is her birthday but shhhhhh I didn’t tell you!
How did you get started diving?
Same reason as Dan. Because we were going to Hawaii and my sister wanted us to go diving while we were there.

What is your most comical dive experience? (I love this question because it stumps people , but we get some great stories!)
Ariel Doll with Nick Meyers. What’s that? When we were in Cozumel, one of the dive masters joined us for dinner one night. He asked if there was anything any one of us wanted him to find and Nick said yeah an Ariel Doll. So we went to the Cozumel type Walmart and bought an Ariel Barbie and Dan got glitter and sewed an outfit and made it into a mermaid, then the dive master hid it for Nick to find. The dive master put it up under the reef ledge for Nick to find. We took Nick over where it was and he said he saw it. We were trying to get the doll, telling him it was his. He kept giving the “Ok” sign that he saw it and I finally had to take him up under the reef and pick it up, place it in his hands and then he was like oh okay.
